Harold Thomas Goff, 82, of Mt. Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Thursday June 9, 2016.

He was born March 13, 1934 in Mt. Vernon, the son of Thomas and Sarah (Emory) Goff. He married Dolly F. Shelton on June 10, 1960.

Harold was retired from Westech fencing company and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He enjoyed his spare time doing yard work, watching baseball and spending time with his family. He was a member of Faith Fellowship Church.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dolly; son, Alan Ray Goff; daughters, Dolly J. (Tom) Winegar, Sarah K. (Paul) Gross and Lisa D. (Jason) Huey; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ronald (Vicki) Goff and Eddie (Brenda) Goff; sisters, Jane Brooks and Shirley Essary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Sarah; and his stepmother, Genevieve who helped raise him from age two; son, Dennis W. Goff; sister, Doris Bundy; and brother, Jerry Goff.

Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery, with military rites by Owen Dunn Post #5.
