Lt. Col. Clyde S. Overcash, United States Army (Ret.) was the son of the late Clyde Alexander and Lorene Lentz Overcash. He was a graduate of North Carolina State University and received a master's from Webster University. Lt. Col. Overcash served in Vietnam and retired from the Army after 23 years of active duty. He worked for the State Emergency Preparedness Division, FEMA, and PBS & J. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a member of the Central South Carolina Harley Owner's Group. Lt. Col. Overcash was a member of First Methodist Church in China Grove, NC. He died at age 63.
