She was born August 26, 1895, in New London, Wisconsin, and attended schools there.
She married Lloyd Douglas Gaffaney on October 13, 1913, in Minot, North Dakota. The couple lived in Spokane, Washington, where he worked for the railroad.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons and a grandson.
Mrs. Gaffaney came to Helena in August 1982.
Survivors include a son, Jack Gaffaney of Helena; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorial graveside services are pending at the Greenwood Cemetery in Spokane.
Herrmann and Co. Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
