Donald J. McCormick Jr. -- February 12, 1949 - June 30, 2021

Donald J. McCormick Jr. passed away on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at the age of 72.

Born in Philadelphia, the son of the late Marie and Donald J. McCormick Sr., Don has been a longtime resident of Lower Bucks County and graduated from Bishop Egan High School.

He attended Penn State University where he graduated in 1970. During his time at PSU, he was a member of the Men's Basketball team and a huge supporter of the football program. After leaving his alma mater, he continued to support the Nittany Lions and has been a season ticket holder for 50 years. His love of Happy Valley is deeply rooted in our memories and family traditions. WE ARE...

Don was a sports enthusiast and loved following all local, college, and professional sports. He coached basketball at Conwell Egan Catholic High School and Calvary Chrisitan Academy where he was lovingly known as "Coach Mac". He also spent many hours on the softball field coaching his daughters, playing Men's Slowpitch in Bristol Borough, and umpiring throughout Bucks County.

His quick wit, endless knowledge about sports, and love for his family was something he shared with everyone that had the pleasure of meeting him. While residing at MacIntosh Regency, he enjoyed the tight knit community and playing BINGO with friends. Don was a fighter and was always positive despite his daily health challenges.

Don is the loving father of Michelle Meehan (Paul), Kristin Miller (Scott), and Megan McCormick (Gerard) and the supportive grandfather of "His Gang": Kieran, Ryan, Gavin, Ellie, Abbey and Emma.

He is the brother of Dennis McCormick, Susan McCormick, and Donna McCormick-Miller (Jim) and the uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his devoted friend Judy McCormick of 58 years; she has been his "rock" and together they raised their three daughters. No matter what time, how serious or how small, she was there for Don. Judy was loyal, dedicated, and unselfish; a friend that we would all be lucky to have.

Don is predeceased by his parents and his brothers, Kenneth and Kevin McCormick.

One of the best ways to honor him is to share a funny story, pass along a memory, or go out of your way to make someone's day.

Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 7, 2021, from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Friends may also call on Thursday, July 8, 2021 from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where his funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am.
