Mr. Robert E. Whitlock, Jr., 74, of Adel, GA, passed away peacefully at home on November 2, 2018, surrounded by his family.

Bob was born on February 25, 1944, to the late Robert E. Whitlock, Sr. and Therese (Marfia) Whitlock.  Bob attended Immaculate Conception School and graduated from Waukegan Township High School, Waukegan, IL.   He attended college at Bradley University, Peoria, IL, and University of Maryland, College Park, MD.  He was educated and worked in the field of accounting, also using his skills effectively in a career in sales.

Bob was passionate about boating and golfing, was a fan of the Chicago Bears and White Sox, and enjoyed sharing time and laughter with family and friends.  We will cherish our memories of his quick wit, his comforting levelheadedness, and his influence in our lives.  Upon his profession of faith in Jesus Christ as his Savior, we rest in the hope of being with him again in Heaven.

Bob is survived by his mother, Therese Whitlock of Mesa, AZ; beloved wife, Pamela (Storey) Whitlock of Adel, GA; son, Robert E. (Anne) Whitlock III of Jacksonville, FL; daughters, Brandy Whitlock of Baltimore, MD, and Teresa (Steve) Ottersen of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren, Brittni (Donny), Brandon, Ashley, Nicholas, Matthew, and Caleb; great-grandchildren Brice and Anna; siblings, Jeanette Woodard, William Whitlock, and Mary (Steve) Navulis.  He is further survived by his dear aunts, an uncle, a niece, nephew, many cousins, and lifelong friend, Bill Allie.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert E. Whitlock, Sr., and brother-in-law, Roger Woodard.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Drive, Zion, IL 60099.  Friends and family can greet the family from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion.
