Following his return from military service, he married on December 26, 1959. In 1962, they welcomed their only daughter to the world, and moved north of Golden, Colorado where Dave supported his family through a long career in construction, retiring as Vice President of Swinerton and Walberg Co. in 1990.
Dave enjoyed volunteering for his community from his early childhood years through his retirement. He was instrumental in the founding of the Fairmount Fire Protection District, and was a loving husband and father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather.
Dave is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter, grandchidlren, and great granddaughters.
