Ms. Sarah A. "Velma" Fields
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Palmetto, LA, for Ms. Sarah A. Fields, 71, who entered eternal rest, Saturday, June 26, 2021 at Acadiana Management Group Specialty Hospital in Lafayette, LA.
Interment will be in St. Matthews Baptist Church Cemetery. Bishop Leon Figgins will officiate the service.
Ms. Fields is survived by two sisters-in-law, Margie Fields of Port Arthur, TX and Leanna Fields of Opelousas, LA; two hundred thirty-two nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members and friends.
Ms. Fields was preceded in death by her birth parents, Allen & Hattie Fields and adopted parents, John & Joyce Stewart; five brothers, Oscar, Eurick, Moses, Joe and Allen, Jr.; seven sisters, Caldonia, Delores, Rebecca, Theresa, Lois, Rosalee, Adeline and three siblings who died at birth.
Visiting hours will be observed from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, July 10, 2021 at St. Matthews Baptist Church.
