Juanell D. Lollar, age 75, of Kilmichael, died of a heart attack Friday, August 15, 1997, at his residence in Kilmichael. Mr. Lollar was a dispatcher for Kilmichael Police Department. He was a Deacon and Sunday school teacher in Kilmichael Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran of World War II and had served as a State Representative from 1956-1960. He was a partner in Lollar Brothers Garage in Kilmichael and was a member of the Kilmichael Volunteer Fire Department.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, August 17, at Kilmichael Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary White officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Jimmy Latham and former Gov. William Winter. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery in Kilmichael.
Mr. Lollar is survived by his wife, Jean P. Lollar; one daughter, Juanita Morgan of Kilmichael; two sons, Gary Lollar of Nashville and Marty Lollar of Canton; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Harrison, Harvey Greenlee, Bobby Howell, David Eldridge, Tommy Rushing, Lenis Pearson, and Lamar Wray.
Honorary pallbearers were Milton Brister, Abe Dehbozorgi, James Wilson, former Gov. William Winter, and Donnie Hovas.
Oliver Funeral Home of Winona was in charge of arrangements.
