Betty Chapman, 93, left this world to be with her heavenly father on June 25, 2021. She passed peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Ashdown, Arkansas, on October 20th, 1927. She and her husband, James (Jim) Chapman, relocated to California in the 1950s in search of new opportunities. She led a life of faithful servitude, touching many lives as a Sunday school teacher for sixty-two years.

When she wasn't ministering to others or helping her husband with his business, Chapman Electric, she devoted the rest of her time and energy to holidays with family, reading novels, traveling to Hawaii, treating her beloved dogs like children, preparing her famous strawberry cake or banana pudding, and eating vanilla ice cream.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Tawna Taylor; son-in-law, Rick Taylor; daughter-in-law, Daleen Chapman; grandson, Gregory Chapman and his wife, Kari Miranda Chapman; granddaughter, Kimberly Chapman and her husband, Christopher Garner; granddaughter, Jessica Taylor; great-grandchildren, Madison and Peyton Webb; and sister, Pat Blalack.

She is preceded in death by the love of her life, James (Jim) Chapman; and her precious son, Keith Chapman.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 pm, on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Sutter Cemetery in Sutter, California. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
