Mignon Stephens Purser, age 87, fell asleep and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on June 25, 2021. She was born on October 19, 1933, to Paul Lawrence Stephens, Sr. and Ruby Lee (Dover) Stephens.

Mignon had a deep and abiding faith in Jesus and shared that faith with whoever she met. She enjoyed reading her Bible daily and listening to her preachers to have a close walk with Jesus. Her favorite scripture was John 19:28-30 where Jesus says as He is sacrificing on the cross, "It is finished." Her family is comforted in knowing with certainty that her joy is now complete as she looks on the face of Jesus and hears him say "Well done my good and faithful servant." She loved her family and was kind and compassionate with selfless love. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughters, Shelia Neumann (Scott), Lisa Collins and son, Stacy Stephen Purser; brother, Paul Stephens Jr.; sisters, Carolyn Tanner, Janelle Webb; granddaughter, Hannah Collins; great grandson, Kingston Collins and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Shelby Purser Jr.; parents, Paul and Ruby Stephens; brother, Andy Stephens; sister, Shirley Turlich, and brother-in-law, Kenny Webb.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee.

Pallbearers are Stacy Stephen Purser, Derek Tanner, Lee McCall, Shawn Ingram, and Scott Neumann. Honorary pallbearer is Kingston Josiah Collins.
