Samuel Lester Bradley was born on July 27, 1949 in Piney Point, Maryland. He was one of four children born to Samuel and Imogene Bradley.

Lester attended school in the District of St. Mary's County in Maryland. Lester met and later married Johanna his devoted wife. Lester worked many years for the street Department of North Chicago and was often referred by many as "Lucky" the man who drove the street sweeper.

Lester was jack of all trades and could fix anything from a light fixture to a car transmission. Lester had a great passion for cooking and took great pride in preparing meals, especially for his grandchildren whom he loved very much and was so devoted to. Lester also liked to play the slots.

Lester leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Johanna Bradley, son Samuel Bradley, two daughters Wynter White and Lavette Barnes, and nine grandchildren, seven sisters-in-law, seven brothers-in-law, and a host of other relatives.

Lester was preceded in death by his parents; Samuel and Imogene Bradley, three sisters Gail Reeves, Gloria Morgan, Mary Caldwell and one grand daughter Angel Bradley.
