Karen Sue (Susie) Davis Sims was born Tuesday, October 26, 1943, in Sugar Loaf Township, Boone County, Arkansas to John Clifton Davis and Beulah Elnora (Gideon) Davis. She passed peacefully to Heaven on June 24th, 2021, at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri.

She attended school at Protem, Mark Twain, Branson, and Hollister before graduating from Forsyth High School in 1961. She would tell you that is why she knew so many people.

She and Kenneth Dean Sims were united in marriage on May 19th, 1971, in Forsyth, Missouri. They were the love of each other's lives. Together they were blessed with five children.

Susie was a devoted Christian woman with a servant's heart, being baptized while expecting her daughter, April. She was a member of Walnut Shade Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time outside planting flowers and caring for her yard. She loved watching her birds, reading her Bible, visiting various flea markets for treasures, and researching her family's genealogy. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy. She loved visiting with friends and strangers alike, making everyone she met feel like family because she genuinely loved people. Everyone who knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and everyone who knew her.

She was a hard worker who held various jobs, including Merriam Woods, Chaney Holman, and Contel before finally retiring from White River Electric as billing supervisor.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents; her brother, Gilbert Davis; two sisters, Shelba Braden and Gladys Carol Brumfield; and two nephews, Rocky Braden and Kelly Brumfield.

She is survived by daughter Lori Clark (Stan) of Taneyville, daughter April Horner (Ritchie) of Taneyville, son Jason Sims (Melanie) of Taneyville, son Michael Sims of Dix, Nebraska, and daughter Michelle Bohac of Sidney, Nebraska; grandchildren Ryan Sanders (Melissa), Adam Sanders (Alexandra), Hailey McClellan (Ward), Dustin Horner (Courtney), Alex Horner (Kassidi), Sydney Henning ( Isaac), Madison, Zoie, and Sierra Sims, and Brittney Hergenrader (Nick); great-grandchildren Macy, Spencer, and Violet Sanders; Ronan Sanders; Dawson, Calvin, and Walker McClellan; Millie Horner; Taya Horner.
