Brenda Jo Griffin, age 68, went to be with the Lord on June 21st, 2021, in Newport News, VA.
Brenda was born on May 14, 1953 in El Paso, Texas, to parents Rufus and Dorothy Dickey. She graduated from Lake Taylor High School in Norfolk, VA. She married Michael Griffin in 1971. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Brenda dedicated her life to the Lord and was a very active member at Full Gospel Worship Center.

She is preceded in death by her husband Michael Griffin; her father Rufus Dickey and her mother Dorothy Lee Reagan; her older brother Curtis Dickey and her brother-in-law Millard-Fillmore Jackson.

Brenda is survived by her sons Paul Griffin (Ebonie), of Hampton, VA and John Griffin (Renee), of Fort Riley, KS; her daughter Kathy Griffin, of Hampton, VA; her grandchildren Nicholas and Marissa Griffin of Hampton, VA, Amanda Fuller (Sean) of Virginia Beach, VA and Shawn Griffin of Fort Riley, KS; her brother Jim Dickey (Nancy) of TX; her sister Linnie Jackson of SC and her sister-in-law Anne Dickey of WA; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 29th, 11am at York Assembly of God with Pastor Gino Bryant officiating. A viewing will start 1 hour prior to the ceremony. Interment will follow at Parklawn-Wood Memorial Park. A repast will be held at Full Gospel Worship Center in Newport News, VA . All are welcome to attend and celebrate Brenda's life.
