Hartzell Hillyard, 95, passed away on June 24, 2021 at Azria Prairie Ridge Care Center in Mediapolis. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 28, 2021 at the Mediapolis United Methodist Church. Burial will follow the services at Kossuth Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 27, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Snyder & Hollenbaugh Funeral and Cremation Services of Mediapolis. Hartzell and Dorothy Hillyard of rural Burlington will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Thursday, March 26.

They have three children, Landen (Dana) Hillyard of Mediapolis, Mark of Mediapolis and William (Cheryl) of rural Burlington. The couple has nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
