A 14-year battle with prostate cancer ended for Carl Eugene Fowler on June 5, 2021.

Carl was born in Mehan, OK on January 20, 1940, to Chester Eugene Fowler and Aleta Uvean Tracy. The family moved to Willits, CA when he was two years old and then to Ukiah, CA. He graduated from Ukiah High, where he excelled in both football and baseball.

In 1960 he married Janice Pippo, and they recently celebrated 61 years of marriage. They moved to Vacaville in 1966 where he became a manager of Solano Ice and Soda Works. The business was later purchased by Nor-Cal Beverage. He retired from Nor-Cal as Vending Department Manager in 2007.

Carl spent many hours with the community building a rural fire department after the devastating "Black Thursday" fire. He retired as a volunteer from the Vacaville Fire Protection District after 19 years of service.

Old cars and tractors were his love, and he could often be found in his shop making, restoring and just fixing things. Carl also spent countless hours cheering on his grandchildren, and then great-grandchildren, as they played and coached the sports he loved.

Along with his wife, Carl is survived by his son, Rick Fowler; daughter, Colette Boicelli (Ron); granddaughter, Jessi Besseghini (Wes); grandson, Brandon Boicelli (Cathy); grandson, Curtis Boicelli (Corrine); and granddaughter, Jaymi Wilson (Andrew).Carl's twelve adoring great-grandchildren are Wesley Jr., Joshua, and Carli Besseghini; Hudson, Brinley, Lane, and Sienna Boicelli; Charli and Melody Boicelli; and Beau, Jake, and Gia Wilson. He is also survived by his brother, Charles "Chuck" Fowler and sister, Caren Tompkins.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother, George Fowler
