Obituary, from the Deseret News, Saturday, April 3, 2004:

Dorothy E. Losser, age 88, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2004 in Toquerville, Utah.

She was born November 18, 1915 in Murray, Utah, a daughter of William David and Louise Kilpack Harkness. She married LeRoy A. Losser on September 5, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Dorothy's entire life was devoted to her family. She had a wonderful sense of humor. A devoted member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Murray, Utah, Dorothy became a member of Trinity Lutheran Church when she and LeRoy retired to Hurricane. She was a marvelous seamstress. Dorothy was a kind and generous person who will be missed by family and friends, as well.

Surviving family include her: children, Robert (Vivian) Losser, of Swainsborrow, GA, Jeanne (Francis) Hawkins and Linda (William) Cole, both of Hurricane, UT, Shelley (John) Horel, of Sandy, UT, Rohn (Laurel) Losser, of Washington, UT; brother, Calvin LaVar Harkness, of West Valley City, UT; 23 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, LeRoy; grandson, Kevin Hawkins; two brothers; and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 5, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the Hurricane Valley Mortuary. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the Mortuary. Interment will be in the Hurricane City Cemetery. Arrangements are made under the direction of Hurricane Valley Mortuary, 140 N. Main St., Hurricane, UT. Funeral Director W. Russell.
