Clifford Joe "Papa" Moore, 62 of Bowie, TX went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 20th, 2021 in Dallas, TX.
Funeral services will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24th, in the Chapel of the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Rev. Steve Throckmorton and Rev. Paul Moore officiating.
Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Bowie.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23rd, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.
Clifford was born February 20th, 1959 in Bakersfield, CA to Claude and Jennie (Johnson) Moore. On July 29th, 1995 Clifford married Laura Slettvet in Mexia, TX. A beloved husband and father, who loved his children, family and the simple things of life dearly, Clifford had a God given music talent, as an avid bass player, that opened doors for him to live his true calling to spread the word of God through music with his prison ministry group. Throughout his life, Clifford enjoyed being involved with church groups, wherever he lived. He was a local contractor and roofer for over 40 years. His passion for the simple things of life, the outdoors, hunting, cattle, ranching, and gardening, is what made Clifford who he was, a devoted husband, father and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents Rev. Claude Moore and Jeannie Moore; brother Jesse Moore, son Clifford Moore Jr., and brother-in-law Jim Pike.
Clifford is survived by his wife Laura Moore of Bowie; children Bobby Moore and wife Haley, Amy Shields and husband Chris, Jon Moore and wife Sami, Josh Moore, Sherry Province, all of Bowie, and Brandy Crawford of Oklahoma; 18 grandchildren, Austin, Lane, Carli, Chelsea, Amber, Samantha, Emily, Bryson, Dillon, B.J., Brandon, Seth, Brady, Jasie, Hannah, Dallie, Demi, and McKenzie; 7 great-grandchildren Beckam, Olivia, Saylor, Liam, Branson, Braizlynn, and James; brothers Rev. Paul Moore and wife Glenna, Toby Moore and wife Linda, and Donald Moore and wife Fannie; sisters Alice Pike, Ruth Bridges and Anna Sue Davidson and husband Roger.
