The Celebration of Life Open House for Myrna Moen of Henning, will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., with a Time of Sharing at 3:00 p.m., at the Johnson-Schuller Chapel in Wadena. Myrna passed away at the age of 76, on Monday, February 2, 2015, at Tri-County Healthcare in Wadena.

Myrna was born to Harold and Emma (Freeberg) Wells on February 16, 1938, in Sebeka, MN. Her family moved to the Minneapolis area, where in 1956 she was a member of the first graduating class from Mounds View High School. Over the years she worked as a secretary, and later as a bartender. She tenderly cared for her houseplants and was an avid flower gardener. Time away from home was spent with her with friends on several bowling leagues and at the Ottertail Rod & Gun Club.

Myrna was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Emma; brothers Leroy A. Wells, Harold D. Wells, L.D. Wells, Loren W. Wells and Maurice E. Wells; and an infant sister Ruth.

She is survived by her sons Russ (Jodi) Speer of Ottertail, Jerry (Angie) Moen of Deer Creek; and Jeff (Bre) Moen of Ottertail; daughter Janet Speer of FL; 13 grandchildren & 4 great-grandchildren; brother Rodney Wells; along with sisters Doris E. Burgau, Leone A. Dooner, and Marlys E. Siebert.

Burial will be held at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
