Roger passed away, January 20, 1986, Doris sold the farm and moved to Sebeka in 1989 where she resided until her death.
Doris was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Doris and Roger were very active in the Moonlight Trail Rider’s Saddle Club which sponsored the Fall Huntersville Trail Ride for 37 years. Doris was an active member of the Cat Creek Missionary Society, County Extension group for many years, helped her children through many years with a Young Peoples group and 4-H Club to include county and state fairs exhibits.
Doris enjoyed gardening, quilting, crocheting, most of all cooking and baking. She loved spending time with family and friends playing cards, dice and games. Her most cherished gift were her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Doris not only worked at home but also worked many years as a cook for Sebeka School.
Doris is survived by Renee (Bud) Tappe, Menahga, MN, RuthAnn (Jack) Limanen, Pierre, SD, Gary (Judy) Burgau, Sebeka, MN, Lynette Burgau, Circle Pines, MN, LeRoy (Niki) Burgau, Phoenix, AZ, Brenda (Rodney) Beyer, North Richland Hills, TX, Barb Burgau, St Paul, MN, Kevin (Jean) Burgau, New Ulm, MN, Kim (Andy) Boe, Fargo, ND, Jodi (Darin) Nesemeier, Kindred, ND, Deanna (Jeff) Peters, Roseau, MN, Lonny (Londa) Burgau, Sebeka, MN, Terry (Kathy) Burgau, Fergus Falls, MN; 28 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren, sisters Leone Dooner, Marlys Siebert, brother Rod Wells and in-law Clyde Seibert.
Preceded in death by her husband Roger, son Ronald, sister Myrna Moen, brothers Roy, Dale, LD, Loren, and Maurice Wells.
Visitation from 5-8 PM Friday, March 22, 2019 at Wevley Funeral Home in Sebeka, MN and one hour prior to the Service at the church
Memorial Services 1:00 PM Saturday, March 23, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church in Sebeka, MN
Private Inurnment at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
