Patrick was born on September 22, 1969 in Sioux Falls, SD.
He was the fifth child born to Boyd and Lorraine (Stone) Sanford.
In 1970 his family moved to Eugene, OR. At the age of two his family settled in Aloha, OR.
Patrick received his formal education and graduated from Aloha High School with the Class of 1987.
Patrick worked in the towing industry for most of his life. He opened Titan Towing in 2008 and had operated it until his passing.
Patrick liked anything fast (both motorcycles and cars) and enjoyed racing motorcycles at Portland International Raceway. He was very active in the local racing circuits, even traveling across Oregon to participate. He also liked target shooting, traveling in his RV and camping. He was an animal lover, especially when it came to dogs. Patrick never knew a stranger. He was a very social and outgoing person.
He met his lifelong companion, Brittany Briggs, in 2014 while racing at PIR. They committed their relationship in a private ceremony in 2020.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Sean Sanford.
He is survived by his two children: Lexee Gallagher and her companion Zack (Tualatin); Dugan Sanford (Hillsboro); four siblings (Barry Sanford, Kevin Sanford, Michael Sanford and Erin Fitzgerald), and five nieces and nephews.
