Mr. Robert Lee Albright Jr., age 75, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Friday afternoon, June 18, 2021, at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
He was born July 22, 1945, in Prattville, Alabama, a son of the late Robert Albright Sr., and Fannie Greene Albright.
Robert was of the Baptist faith, and proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, making family videos, gardening, remodeling homes and traveling with his wife around the United States. He especially enjoyed volunteering at Stones River Battlefield in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and the Fish Hatchery in Jamestown, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William "Bill" Albright, and one son, Michael Weldon.
Robert is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joyce Behne Albright; two sons, Tim Lett of Atlanta, Georgia; and Keith Albright of Gilmer, Texas; four daughters, Sybil Lett of New Jersey; Janet (Billy) Albright of Gilmer, Texas; Angel Elliott (Lowell) of Grayson, Kentucky; and Latonya Albright of Longview, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; three brothers, Frank (Debra) Albright of Montgomery, Alabama; Richard Albright of Virginia; and Raymond (Kathy) Albright of Maryland; one sister, Lilly (Eric) Rainey of Birmingham, Alabama; He also leaves many other family members and special friends who will sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, June 20, 2021, at the Iron Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Grayson, Kentucky, with his son in-law, Brother Lowell Elliott officiating. A private burial will take place in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast in Greenup, Kentucky.
