Jess Edward Cooper, 83, was born Sunday, October 10, 1937 on a house boat in Kentucky. He passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming.
Jess was the son of Jess and Georgia (Ferguson) Cooper. He grew up and spent most of his early adult life in New Jersey. He joined the United States Marines. He worked at Cadillac Movers earning Top Mover several times during his career. In the summer of 1976, he moved to Wyoming. He worked on the oil rigs working his way up to driller. He then went to work at Jim's Water Service retiring many years later.
He was a man of many words, talking to anyone and everyone. Anytime he found a new interest he would dive in feet first, learning and doing many things. Of these things he was most proud of archery, running, biking, and triathlons. Jess enjoyed hunting in the mountains of beautiful Wyoming, playing pool, and tractors pulls. He enjoyed time spent with his grandkids always making sure to be at any games they would be playing in.
He is survived by children, John (deceased), Rebecca, Linda, Nanette, Tina, Eddie, Richard, Dee (the late Ted) Siers of Douglas, Colten (Megan) Roper of Wheatland, and Michelle (Abel) Resendiz of California; 23 grandkids; 32 great grandkids; and 7 great-great grandkids.
