Jackie Gwen Smith of Wells Bayou, Arkansas, was born May 12, 1941, to Jack and Alice Smith. He was a long-time resident of Centerton, AR, and left us on June 9th, with daughters Dana and Tracy at his side.

He attended Wells Bayou School and later graduated from Gould High School. Jackie was a Christian and a member of Smyrna Baptist Church. Jackie was a United States Air Force Veteran and proud United States patriot. Jackie, and his wife Dixie, owned Datra Transportation Trucking company. He drove a big rig for most of his life, and he was known by his CB radio handle " Rollin Rooster". Jackie is referred to by his daughters as "the best daddy one could ever had" because they didn't know until they were grown that they "weren't " princesses. " He was known to his grandchildren as " Pawpaw Booger Bear". All of his grandchildren loved to stay with him because there was always an adventure that their moms would not say "Yes" to. His greatest pleasure was riding the Pig Trails on his motorcycles. He lived life to the fullest every single day. Once they taught him to text, he texted his daughters and granddaughters every single morning to start their day off with love.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dixie Bills Smith, his parents Jack and Alice Smith, and brother Billy Smith.

He is survived by daughters, Dana Smith Jarrett of Cabot, AR, Tracy Smith of Wilson, AR, brothers Mark Smith (Marie) of Missouri, Paul Smith (Bea) of Wells Bayou and Belize, Lannie Smith (Minh Jan) of Georgia, Granddaughters Jill Barber (Kevin) of Jonesboro, AR, McKinzie Jarrett of Jonesboro, AR, Mary Kate Record of Little Rock, AR, Great-grandchildren Cash, and Dallas Barber, and host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Any donations in Jackie's name could be made to ASPCA in tribute to his love of animals.

Visitation held at 2 PM, Sunday, June 13, 2021, with the funeral following at 3 PM, both held at Griffin Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Rawson officiating and burial following at Tyro Cemetery.
