Dixie Lee Smith, 70, of Centerton, formerly of Dumas, died Monday, June 1, 2015, at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa, Okla.

She was born May 23, 1945 in Arkansas City, Arkansas the daughter of Dick and Ruby Bills.

A retired teacher and owner of Datra Transportation, Inc., she was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and lover of all animals.

She attended Wells Bayou Elementary and was a graduate of Dumas High School and the University of Arkansas, Monticello (formerly Arkansas A&M).

She is survived by her mother, Ruby Bills; husband Jackie Smith; daughters Dana Jarrett (husband Jackie Jarrett) and Tracy Menard (husband Brad Menard); three granddaughters, Jill Barber (husband Kevin Barber), McKinzie Jarrett (fiancé Logan Hawley) and Mary Kate Record; one great-grandson, Cash Barber; one sister, Louella Persons (husband Floyd Persons); one brother, Lonnie Bills (wife Glenda Lou Bills); and many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dick Bills, sister Bonnie Faye Mock and brother Richard Bills.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, at Abundant Life Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday at Abundant life Church in Dumas with Rev. Spencer Berry and Lannie Smith officiating followed by burial in Tyro Cemetery.
