The two of them enjoyed time bowling, camping and traveling back to California to spend time with her family. As they grew older together they would travel by Amtrak, which they enjoyed so much. Helen also enjoyed the many visits by her brothers and nephews who traveled back yearly to deer and elk hunt. Helen loved to cook and bake for them.
Helen was also famous for her delicious fruit cakes. Helen's sisters, Edna and Dorothy would often make trips with their families to Grand Junction as well. A lot of memories were made during camping trips to the Grand Mesa with Helen and Wag's family. Her memory will live on with all of us who loved her so very much.
Helen is survived by her brothers, Leonard McVey of Yuba City, Roger McVey of Meridian, Gary McVey of Stoneyford and Allen Rankin of Sacramento and sister Dorothy Stewart of Georgia.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband Menzo "Wag" Wagner, brothers John McVey, James McVey, Dean McVey and Richard McVey and sister Edna Stewart.
