Julissa Monae Torres, 26, passed away on May 14, 2018 in Chandler, Arizona.  She was born on October 18, 1991 in Waukegan, IL  to Angel Torres and Lorinda Lynch.

Affectionately known as "Ju", Julissa attended Zion Benton Township High School where she graduated in 2010.  From a very young age she had a passion for styling hair and often practiced on her grandmother and sister.  She  turned that dream into a reality when she attended Mario Tricoci Cosmetology School in Libertyville, IL.  Julissa also loved softball.  She was known for her "bomb" hits where she'd frequently knock the ball out of the park.  Her passion for the game never wavered and she continued her love for the game by playing on an adult team.  She followed her heart and moved to Arizona where she worked at OnTrac as a Customer Care Advocate in Chandler, AZ.  She was a free spirit with a wild heart and was determined to succeed at everything that she did.  Julissa loved her babies immensely and relished in the fact that they were a product of her love for their father. Julissa's passion for family was unmatched.  She loved her family and was very protective of them.

Julissa leaves to cherish her best friend and fiance, Lavale Moss and their two daughters Journee Lynn and Laila Noelle, all of Maricopa, AZ.  She is survived by her parents, Angel Torres of Sturtevant, WI and Lorinda Lynch of Winthrop Harbor, IL; her second mom whom she adored, Danielle Torres of Waukegan, IL; her grandmothers, Alma Lynch and Julia Torres of Waukegan, IL and her grandfather Angel Torres Sr. of Puerto Rico; two brothers Jalen Torres of Zion, IL and Erick Moore of Winthrop Harbor, IL;  three sisters Jazlyn and Jayda Torres of Waukegan, IL and Nalani Pates of Sturtevant, WI.  She also leaves to cherish her memory her aunts Dorothy McGee of Indianapolis, IN, Evie (Hasan) Hakeem of Kenosha, WI, Barbara (Johnnie) Davis, Sherry Lynch of Waukegan, Shaton Wolverton of Beach Park, IL, Kendra Lynch of Grand Prairie, TX; uncles Davie (Margaret) Lynch of Sunset, TX. and Ronald (Lorri) Lynch of Oklahoma City, OK; her lifelong sister, Motasia Lynch of Waukegan, IL; best friend George Woods of Gurnee, IL and a host of cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.  

Julissa was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Paul. W. Lynch Sr., her uncles Paul W. Lynch Jr. and Lenord Lynch and a dear aunt Carmen Sola.  

A Celebration of Her Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home, 2513 W. Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL 60085. . Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Cemetery, Zion, IL. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M.
