REMAINS BROUGHT HOME

Young Man of Loogootee Killed Accidently While at Service In the Regular Army

The remains of Leo Lents, son of George Lents of this city, reached here Tuesday morning on train No. 4, having been sent from Fort Russel, Wyoming. Funeral services took place from St. John's church Tuesday morning and the remains were interred in St. John's cemetery.

Young Lents was accidently shot while in a skirmish at Ft. Russel on last Friday and lived but a short time. He had served five years in the United State regulars, having completed one term of four years and was on his second enlistment. He had been stationed at Fort Russell since last summer, having been sent there from Columbus, Ohio. Young Lents was home on a visit during last summer and spent several weeks in this city and community. He was twenty-three years of age. Besides his father he leaves surviving two brothers and three sisters. They are Clayton and Charles Lents and Mrs. James Burch, of this city; Mrs. Timothy Lents of Indianapolis; and Mrs. Oscar Haag, of Cannelburg.
