Velma M. Snyder, 91, of Ringgold, died Thursday, June 3, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born June 8, 1929, in Timblin, a daughter of the late Elsie Garnett (Brocious) and Carl C. Snyder.
Velma was employed at Rolo Jensen and attended the Grange Church of God. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, shopping, baking and going for Sunday afternoon rides.
Surviving relatives include a nephew, Carl Shick and wife Bonnie; four nieces, Geraldine Graham, Ruth Defelice and husband Joe, Linda Doverspike and husband Bill and Bernice Esposito and husband Jim; and special friends Vaughn and Donna Shoemaker and their son, Curtis.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Snyder and Dorothy Shick, and a brother Byron C. "Poppy" Snyder.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Deeley Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held immediately following visitation at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Sam Crossley.
Interment will be in St. James Cemetery, Ringgold.
