Catchur, Ernest - age 60, of Merrillville, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 23, 1986. Survivors: wife, Helen; four sons, Mathew of Bloomington, Indiana. Mark of Tampa, Florida, Greg and John both of Terre Haute; parents, Michael and Marie Catchur of Highland; four sisters, Magdalene (David) Forsythe of South Bend, Zita (Robert) Lewann of Munster, Norma (Edward) Morweiser of Schererville, Evelyn (George) Bryerton of Elkhart; sister-in-law, Genevieve Catchur of Griffith. Preceded in death by brother, Orest Catchur.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, January 25, from the Rees Funeral Home, with Rev. Peter Rozdelsky officiating. Interment, Demotte Cemetery, Demotte.

Mr. Catchur was a Merrillville resident for 24 years- a retired school teacher with the Lake Ridge School Corp. for 32 years; a member of the Indiana State Teachers Association; and a Veteran of World War II.
