Louis Thomas Swart, son of Thomas B. Swart and Trenjte Stel both natives of Holland, was born Jan 1869 Chicago, IL and died 19 Feb 1926 Jasper Co., IN. He married Anna Abbring 1 Jan 1894 Jasper County, IN. They were the parents of Thomas Swart, Harriet "Hattie" Swart, Cornelius "Neal" Swart, Louis Swart, Ben Swart and Leonard Swart, Sr. When they moved to Keener Township, Jasper County, Indiana, his occupation was farmer.


Louis Swart passed away at his home. He was 57 years of age, having been born in Chicago, January 1, 1869. In early childhood, he moved to DeMotte with his parents where he resided mostly all his remaining days. IN 1894, he was united in marriage to Anna Abbring. To this union were born six children: Thomas, Harriet, Neal, Louis Jr., Ben and Leonard. Louis Jr. passed away in 1921. The deceased leaves to mourn him, his wife, four sons and one daughter. He is also survived by one brother and one sister. The funeral services were held from the DeMotte Christian Reformed Church Monday afternoon and burial was made in the DeMotte Cemetery.
