Cornelius "Neal" Swart, born 1899, died 1966, was the third child of Louis Thomas Swart and Anna Abbring Swart. He married Susie Sekema, 11 May 1925 Jasper County, IN. They were the parents of four children, an infant child deceased, June Audrey, Wayne Swart deceased, and Neal Jon "Jack."

DEMOTTE - Neal Swart, 67, RFD 2, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Porter Memorial Hospital after an illness of three months. He was born April 13 1899 in Chicago, the son of Louis and Anna (Abbring) Swart. On May 11, 1925, in Rensselaer, he married Susie Sekema, who survives.
A resident of DeMotte for the past 60 years, Swart was a retired carpenter contractor and a member of the American Reformed Church.
Surviving in addition to the widow are one daughter, Mrs. Henry (June) Hielema, DeMotte; one son, Neal Jon, DeMotte; five grandchildren and three brothers, Thomas, Ben and Leonard, all of DeMotte.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the American Reformed Church with Rev. Gladus Aalberts officiating. Burial will be in DeMotte Cemetery.
Friends may call at Todd Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Friday and at the church one hour prior to services.
