He was born December 11, 1951 in Scott County, Missouri to parents Woodrow Jackson and Della Mae Davis.
Bobby attended Waukegan East High School in Waukegan, IL and after graduating he started a career at Abbott Laboratories in operations and quickly advanced to supervisory roles. Bobby would retire from Abbott Laboratories after 27 years of service. Bobby was a joyful individual who enjoyed the company of his family and friends. He was one who you could often find hosting Bar-B-Q's, card games and Dominos.
Bobby D. Jackson leaves to cherish his memory a former wife, Christine Gaines of Bloomington, IL., 3 sons, Bobby L. Jackson Jr. of Bloomington, IL., Ramone Jackson of Waukegan, IL and Ricardo Jackson of Huntsville, AL; a daughter, Malinda Chandler of Milwaukee, WI; 8 sisters, his twin sister Dorothy Jackson, Augusta Daley, Carolyn Jackson-Gill, Margie Holiday, Carmelita Grisham, Earthleen Canady, and Denise; 3 brothers, Woodrow Jackson Jr., James Glover and George Thompson; aunt, Miedurq "Big Baby Sister" Jefferson-Jackson all of Waukegan, IL; 26 Grandchildren, 10 Great children and a host of nieces and nephews including special nephews, Shawn, Mark, Chris and Edgar Jackson.
He was preceded in death his parents, Woodrow and Della M. Jackson; his grandson, Dayvi'ontay T. Jackson; a nephew, Dersha Jackson and aunt, Mary F. Smith Wilson "Lil Baby Sister".
A Celebration of His Life Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home, 2513 W. Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Cemetery, Zion, IL. Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M.
