He was born in Winston-Salem, NC on February 17, 1950 to the late Celia and Robert Pegram. He was the youngest of their four children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica Pegram; his ex-wife, Dee Pegram; sisters, Brenda, Tammy, and Barbara; his sons, Ryan Pegram (Deidra) and Derick Pegram (Heather); and his grandchildren, Tabor, Holton, Berkley, Sawyer, Max, Luke, and Kade.
Rick was a great father, grandfather, coach, and businessman. He loved spending time with his family, playing golf, and watching football.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Raymer-Kepner Funeral Home, 16901 Old Statesville Rd., Huntersville. A memorial service will follow at 4:00pm in the funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or to Levine Cancer Institute.
