Geneva L. Howard, 87, of Macomb, formerly of Astoria, died at 12:05 a.m. March 26, 2013, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Jan. 10, 1926, in Browning, the daughter of George C. and Grace R. Stambaugh Hughes. She married James Little in Astoria. He preceded her in death in November 1949. She then married Marshall "Pete" Howard on March 23, 1954, in Leroy. He preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1987.

Surviving are two sons, Larry (and Maryellen) Little of Dwight, and Randy (and Kris) Howard of Washington, Ill.; two brothers, David "Jack" (and Dorothy) Hughes of Center Hill, Fla., and George (and Doris) Hughes of Astoria; and five grandchildren.

She was secretary at Astoria Schools for many years.

She was a member of Astoria United Methodist Church.

Graveside services will be held at Astoria Cemetery.
