On May 23, 2021, our dear mother, Helen Sanders peacefully passed away in her home at the age of 93. She was born in Murray, Utah on February 12, 1928, to Simon Robert and Juanita Johnson. They moved to Centerville where Helen attended Davis High School and graduated early as a Davis Dart. She met Earl Dewain Sanders, the man of her dreams, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on November 14, 1947. They built a home together in Centerville seventy years ago where they have raised their 6 children.

Helen has devoted her life as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She always thought of others first and loved sharing her many talents of baking, sewing, canning, gardening, cake decorating, writing, singing, playing card games, celebrating holidays and remembering important dates. At the age of 93 she still remembered every one of her 63 grand and great grandchildren's birthdays!

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister Margaret Erwin, brothers Bob and Dave Johnson, son-in-law Ron Wood, granddaughter Christine Gray, and her beloved husband of 55 years. She is survived by their 6 children: Lynn (Sandra) Sanders, Sharon (Steve) Gray, Connie (Lynn) Barber, Julie (Stuart) Peters, Joni Wood, Bob (Tricia) Sanders, their 20 grandchildren and 43 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at the Centerville City Cemetery. A viewing will be held Sunday, May 30, 2021 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and again Tuesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Russon Mortuary, 295 North Main, Bountiful.
