Terry Lewis passed away peacefully at home on May 7, 2021 after being diagnosed with lung cancer. Terry was born in Seattle, Washington to Floyd Lewis and Dorothy Nicholas and as a child moved to Oakland, California.
Terry served in the United States Marine Corps for four years and joined the United States Army in 1958 and was honorably discharged in 1962.
Terry worked alongside his father in establishing State Shingle Company of Oakland, California until his retirement in 2011. He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Claudette (Mongeon), brothers, Robert and Mark, son Kevin (Tanya), grandchildren, Korissa, Kailey, and Kody, twin daughters of Caprice, Danielle, and Elizabeth, of adoptive parents, Fred and Arlene Frietze. He also leaves behind Claudette's daughter, Nancy Holmes (Jeff), Carly and Katie, cousins, and many dear friends. Terry is preceded in death by his daughter, Caprice, son-in-law, Monte Wyatt.
A celebration of life will be held at Resurrection Ministries, 1275 Fairview Avenue, Brentwood, CA 94513 on June 12, 2021 at 1:00pm.
Interment will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon at a future date.
