Death of Mrs. Proctor
Mrs. Lucy J. Proctor, mother of J. W. Proctor of this city, died at her home in Union township Saturday, death resulting from a stroke of paralysis. Mrs. Proctor was the wife of Montgomery Proctor, who died in 1870. Since that time she has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. Chas. Libbee. She was born in Kentucky, but came to Missouri in 1880 and during her long life has lived in a manner that endeared her to all who knew her. She was eighty years of age at the time of her death. Her funeral services were conducted at Philadelphia Tuesday afternoon at 2 30 o'clock.

Mrs. Lnuy Proctor, mother of J. W. Proctor, of Palmyra, died at her home in Union township Sunday night, after a brief illness. She had reached the advanced age of 81 years ; she was a loving christian mother and lived a life worthy of imitation. She leaves 5 daughters and one son to mourn her loss. Her funeral was preached to a large concourse of friends at her home Tuesday at two o'clock and was laid to rest in Philadelphia cemetary.

Mrs. Lucy Proctor passed to her reward Aug. 28, 1904. She had lived to a ripe old age, and has been gathered home. She "rests from her labors, and her works will follow her. She was buried at Philadelphia cemetery Tuesday afternoon. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. T. S. Scott. We extend sympathy to the bereaved family.
