Rilla Jeanette Applewhite

Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 3 at 2:30 p.m. in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel for Mrs. Rilla Jeanette Applewhite, 61, of Kilmichael. Mrs. Applewhite died at her residence Sunday, Dec. 2, 1984. Mr. Dan Beardain officiated the services, and burial was in the Poplar Springs Cemetery. She was a member of the Kilmichael Baptist Church.

Mrs. Applewhite is survived by her husband, John Ezra Applewhite of Kilmichael; her step-mother, Mrs. Leone Montague of French Camp; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Jean Jones of Pensacola, Mrs. Barbara Jane Burns of Greenville, and Miss Mary Kathryn Applewhite of Columbus; one step-daughter, Mrs. Grace Willing of Florence; two sons, Jimmy Applewhite of Kilmichael and Harris Applewhite of Pope; one step-son, John Applewhite of Florence; one stepsister, Margie Ann Green of Winona; two brothers, Burdette Montague of McAdams and H.D. 'Buster" Montague of French Camp; one step-brother, James A. Dees of Winona; and 13 grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bennie Montague, Frank Montague, Nathan Jones, Mark Jones, Curtis Laney, and Jerry Dale Bridges.

Oliver Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
