On the morning of Sunday April 25th, 2021 as the sun rose over her home in Florahome, the ever-loyal servant of the lord Joyce O French awoke to the sound of church bells. By the grace of God, she found the strength to rise out of her mortal coil to be dressed in her Sunday's best. As she had done so many Sunday's before, she made the journey to her place of worship to find it was not the same church she had attended faithfully for so many years, but the last and greatest temple of all. There she rejoiced, for she found her Husband William and two of her sons Micheal and Tommy saving her a seat between them in the pews.
Joyce French was a hospice worker for 25 years and was the organist for Oak Avenue Baptist Church. She was a valued community member who volunteered her talents whenever she could and was Loved by all who knew her.
Preceded in death by her husband William French who was blind and now can see in 2011 and her sons Michael (Sharon), 2009 and Thomas 2019. Her memory survives with her Daughter Joyce (Ray) Trescot, and her sons Paul (Anna) French and Bill French along with 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2021. At Restlawn Memorial Park South, 3301 Moncrief Road West, Jacksonville, Florida 32208.
