Dana Christensen, 67, of Holland, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2015.
Dana was born July 3, 1947, in Zeeland, to Andy and Janet (Wiersma) Christensen. Dana grew up in Zeeland and graduated from Zeeland High in 1965 and later from Western Michigan University. After graduating from WMU she worked in the Library in Zeeland High School. In 1980, Dana realized her dream when she became the owner of Mario's Restaurant on Butternut Drive in Holland. She volunteered at the Center for Women in Transition and at Douglas Elementary School. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Drew
Christensen, and brother-in-law Bud Schreckengust.
A time to celebrate and remember Dana's life will be held 4-7 pm, Thursday, January 22, at the Langeland-Sterenberg Funeral Home, 315 E. 16th Street, Holland. Memorial contributions may be made to The Center for Women in Transition.
