Martha Ann Horgan Thompson, 79, of Bassett, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021, at her home.
She was born in Christiansburg, Virginia on January 8, 1942, to the late Richard Horgan and Mary Martha Stowers Horgan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Frances Kitts.
Martha is survived by her husband, Earl Thompson; sons, William "Billy" Thompson (Tina), Thomas "Tommy" Thompson, and James "Jimmy" Thompson (Alice); sister, Billie Sue Morris (Jerry); brother, Richard A. Horgan, Jr.; grandchildren, Joshua Thompson, Phillip Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, Stephanie Thompson, Chelsea Thompson, Corey Thompson, and Jared Hawley; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 2:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Tom Auker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
