Melissa loved anything to do with family, especially her grandchildren. She is remembered as a great cook and that she always kept an immaculate house.
Melissa liked to attend church, and her hobbies were collecting glassware and jewelry.
Before being medically retired, Melissa worked as a postal sorter for the United States Postal Service.
Melissa departed this life Wednesday morning, April 28, 2021 at her home north of Coweta, OK at the age of 60 years. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, including her beloved grandmother, Birdie Sisney who helped raise her.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Ray Copeland of the home; her mother, Geraldine Roux of McCrory, Arkansas; father and stepmother, Paul and Bonnie Neal of Magnolia, Texas; her three children, Becky Gregory of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Si Soap and husband, Solomon of Stilwell, Oklahoma and Robert Guthrie and wife, Kristen of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; five stepchildren, Chris Copeland, Chad Copeland and wife, Melanie, all of Kellyville, Oklahoma, Cheri Marrs and husband, Sam of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Angie Byrd and husband, Kirk of Gore, Oklahoma and Prudence Willyard of Westville, Oklahoma; her siblings, Paul Neal Jr., Rhonda Light, Paula Taylor, Lisa Ivey and Michele Neal; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews; extended family and friends.
The funeral service will be Monday, May 3, 2021 in the Chapel at Mallett Funeral Home. Brother George Hubbard will officiate.
Interment will be in Lost City Cemetery near Hulbert, Oklahoma.
