Graveside services for Harold Miller, 77, of Abernathy, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2007, in the Lorenzo Cemetery, with Rev. George Carkeet officiating. Services are under the direction of Abell Funeral Home of Abernathy.

Mr. Miller died at his home Monday, Nov. 5, 2007.

He was born in Abernathy on April 6, 1930, to Wesley Floyd Miller and Lila Wilmeth. He was raised in Crosby County where he farmed until moving to Abernathy in December of 1975. He married Audrey Brooks on April 21, 1951, in New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Survivors are his wife, Audrey of Abernathy; stepmother, Frances Miller of Lorenzo; a daughter, Lila Jerree Miller of Abernathy; four grandchildren, Wendy Lett, Erica Samples, Valerie Samples and Chancy Samples and wife Michele, all of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and five great-grandchildren, Joshua Samples, Kurstein Dailey, Kassidy Keith, Andrew Lett and Nicholas Cochran. He is also survived by a brother, Joe Bob Miller of Lake Texhoma; and eight sisters, Catherine McCallister and Carol Miller, both of Lubbock, Carlene Harvey of Madill, Okla., Judy Crowley and Peggy Sellers, both of Ralls, Shirley Smith of Acuff, Tammy Miller of Smyer, and Lorie Miller of Houston.
