Ronnie was born on January 3, 1940 in Marshall Browning Hospital, DuQuoin, IL, a son to George Richard and Eva Louise (Marlow) Lee. On August 8, 1957, he married Cathy "Kitten" Hutchings in Paducah, KY and she survives. Ronnie was of the Baptist faith and had worked as a coal miner, logger, farmer. He had also worked at GS Metals and for his father-in-law on the road district. In his lifetime, Ronnie had enjoyed trapping, hunting, fishing, bee-keeping and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Kitten Lee of Tamaroa, IL; two sons, Mike (Heather) Lee of Tamaroa, IL and Mark Lee (Jade Warden) of Tamaroa, IL; a daughter, Janie (Rick) Meier of Fort Myers, FL; a brother, James Lee of Tamaroa, IL; a special cousin, Roger Lee; eight grandchildren, Gracie (Eric) Crawley, James (Abby) Sroka, Mendi (Joshua) Compton, Chelsey Lee, Dylan Lee, Jorden Lee, Kassidy Lee and Jase Lee; six great-grandchildren; and his dog, Izzy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ronald Timothy Lee; and a granddaughter, Holli Bolinski.
Private family services will be held. Interment will be in Holts Prairie Cemetery, Pinckneyville, IL.
