Patricia R. "Patsy" (Ruiz) Reyes, 74, of Hurley, NM passed away on February 26, 2021 in Las Cruces, NM. Patsy started her journey on March 25, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA. After high school she went to school to become a beautician.

In November 1967 she married her loving husband, Amador T. Reyes Jr. They settled in New Mexico, began their life together and raised four children.

Patsy started her career at Kmart where she was most known for her generosity and hard work.

She was always involved in little league, El Grito Head Start, and all things that her kids participated in. After her husband passed away in 2003 she continued to be active.

Patsy headed the funeral ministry for Infant Jesus Shrine, cleaned houses for the elderly, decorated for weddings, and worked the elections. She will be most remembered for her cooking, her bizcochos, catered food, and especially her tortillas. She will be greatly missed by all.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Soledad Munoz and Moises M. Ruiz; husband, Amador T. Reyes Jr.; and son, Amador R. Reyes III.

Patsy is survived by her companion, Raul Maldonado of Gila, NM; son, Albert Reyes and companion, Francyne Alva of Safford AZ; son, Raymond Reyes and his wife, Monica of Silver City; daughter, Rachel Zich and husband, Joseph of Carson City, NV; daughter-in-law, Debra Reyes of Hurley; grandchildren; great granddaughters; her sisters, Mary Ann Marquez of AZ; and Susan Ledesma of CA; and brother, Ruben Ruiz of NM.

Pallbearers were: Albert Reyes, Raymond Reyes, Amador Reyes IV, Zachary Reyes, Angel Quevedo and Mario Ruiz.
