He was born on July 3, 1940, the son of the late Karl C. and Priscilla M. (Geser) Walter.
Mark served in the United States Army and owned and operated Walter Vineyards in Ripley for several years. He was an active member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Westfield and the Knights of Columbus Council #3100. Mark was also a member of the Chautauqua County Rifle League Jamestown Rifle Club, Eastside YMCA, and Pennbriar Athletic Club. He enjoyed martial arts, water skiing, hunting, swimming, camping, outdoors, beloved pets, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Victor Walter, and a close friend, Edward Janusz. Mark is survived by his nieces, Debbie Peyton (Rick), Darlene Klemm, and Denise Raffensberger (Jeff); sister-in-law Susan Walter Hetz, great-nephew, Daniel Peyton; great-niece, Hannah Klemm; and cousins Barbara Ganzer and her daughter Tammy.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at St. Gregory Catholic Church, North East, Pa. on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at St. Gregory Cemetery, North East, Pa.
