DALE BRUNS EARHART, 77, veteran, resident of Memphis, died November 5, 2007 in Fayette County while visiting his daughter. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Friday at the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Atchison, Kansas. An Episcopalian, Mr. Earhart is survived by his wife, Barbara Edwards Earhart; his daughter, Martha Lee Earhart of Somerville; and his son, Martin Bruns Earhart of Oklahoma City, OK. DALE BRUNS EARHART, a resident of Memphis and father of Martha Lee Earhart of Somerville died Monday, November 5, 2007 at the Methodist Hospital of Fayette in Somerville. He was 77 years of age and died unexpectedly while he and his wife were visiting with their daughter in Fayette County.

Funeral services for Mr. Earhart were conducted at the graveside 11 A.M. Friday, November 9th with Rev. Ray Hartjen, Episcopalian Minister at Atchison, Kansas, officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Atchison, KS. Arrangements were provided by Peebles Fayette County Funeral Home—Main Chapel.

Mr. Earhart was born June 3, 1930 in Omaha, NB, the son of the late David Bruns Earhart and the late Blanche Butler Earhart. He was educated in private schools in Illinois and was married May 11, 1953 to the former Barbara Edwards who survives. He was an Episcopalian throughout his life and served in the United States Marines in earlier years.

Mr. Earhart will be remembered as a person who enjoyed nature and out of door activities. He was a lover of literature and art and enjoyed the reading and writing of poetry. He was a former resident of the Dundee Community in Tunica County, MS., before becoming a resident of Memphis 18 years ago.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Martha Lee Earhart of Somerville; and his son, Martin Bruns Earhart of Oklahoma City, OK.
