Eugene Barker, age 81, of Munster, IN, passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2007. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rosemary (Volk) Barker; three daughters: Marcia (Bob) Pischner of Highland, IN, Donna (Mike) Mitsos of Tinley Park, IL and Diane Glowacki of Crown Point, IN; two sons: David (Annie) Barker of Camarillo, CA and Mark Barker of Lake Village, IN; one sister, Shirley (Cal) Blink of Highland, IN; seven grandchildren: Erik (Kristel) Pischner, Alan (Shannon) Pischner, Gayle Pischner, Ryan (Jerilynn) Glowacki, Ashley Barker, Patrick Mitsos and Jimmy Mitsos; two step-grandchildren: Lisa Zimmer and Paul Zimmer; four great-grandchildren: Connor Pischner, Madison Pischner, Cameron Pischner and Max Glowacki; brother-in-law, Clyde Wright of Highland, IN.

Mr. Barker retired in 1990 from Pullman Standard in Hammond, IN after 39 years of service. He was an usher and a member of the Holy Name Society and the Garden Club of St. Thomas More Church in Munster, IN. He was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, belonged to the St. Joseph's Bowling League of Hammond, IN for over 50 years and was a veteran of WWII serving in the Marine Corps.
