Isabell (Moody) was married to John C. Clark in her family home on November 19, 1882, in a double ceremony that saw her sister, Serilda (Moody) marry Volney Clark, the brother of John C. Clark.

The two newly married couples made a home together in Taney County in the Swan Creek area, making a living by farming until the families grew too large for the one home. It was here that John and Isabell built a similar home about three-quarters of a mile away and moved into it. The two couples were to have fourteen children between them, the children all being 'double cousins.'

Isabell and John C. had six children: Lonnie Burton Clark, William Preston Clark, Nancy Ann Clark, John Ervin Clark, Franklin McKinley Clark, and Etta May Clark. (Two of these children are not listed below, .. in that they are not buried in this cemetery.)

The home of John C. and Isabell would stand in place for most of 125 years, abandoned and in danger of being torn down following that.

In the later half of her life, Isabell became blind yet managed to navigate her home of so many years and still be an active member of the big family. A tiny woman, she was familiarly known by the following generation as "our blind grandma."
