He was born on July 13, 1937.
Maurice served his country from 1955-1959 in the U.S. Air Force. He later started his own natural gas company, Coastal Mechanical, which has been part of Florence, SC community for 35 years.
He was a family-oriented man, being intentional on attending all significant moments over three generations.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, John Pike Little and Elizabeth Verner Ivey-Little; and four siblings: Wilton Little, James Little, Michael Little, and Marcella Taylor.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Miriam Little of the home; a son, Maurice Mitchell "Mitch" Little, Jr. and wife Shawn of Florence; two daughters, Paula L. Miller and Beth L. Keefe and husband Jimmy; five sisters: Judy Tyndall, Joyce Small, Linda Townsend, Cynthia Pate, and Llewellyn Davis all of Lumberton, NC; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton, NC with Rev. Anthony Rich officiating.
